My Story

I used to feel pressure to pick a lane - choose one healing modality, one way of serving, one clear identity that would fit neatly on a business card.

But life had other plans.

Each path I was drawn to - from activism to wildcrafting, from somatic work to ancient ritual traditions - revealed another facet of the same truth: healing happens when we honor the full spectrum of who we are.

My journey reflects what I believe about yours - we are prismatic beings, not single-dimensional problems to be solved.

The very complexity that the world tells us to simplify is actually our greatest gift. When I work with you, I bring the full range of my experience not as separate tools, but as an integrated understanding of how transformation really happens.

The Paths That Shaped Me

Growing up in a family that cared deeply for community taught me that healing is relational. Living across countries - Spain, France, Morocco, Peru, Cuba, and Israel - showed me that wisdom comes in countless forms. Speaking four languages opened my ears to how differently cultures understand the mind, body, and spirit connection.

For over 25 years, I've been weaving together what seemed like separate interests. Studying with Peter Levine and Gabor Maté taught me how trauma lives in the nervous system.

Fifteen years with Malidoma Somé and twelve years with Sobonfu Somé revealed how ancestral patterns move through generations.

Learning with Martin Prechtel at Bolad's Kitchen since 2009 showed me how grief and beauty dance together.

Keith and Shane Pease from Dakota Tipi tradition deepened my understanding of how ceremony creates healing.

Each teacher, each tradition, each certification wasn't adding another credential - they were revealing different angles of the same jewel. I believe we trusting another with our healing is sacred — it deserves someone who has done the work of integration themselves.

How I See This Work

I am passionate about boundaries, self-care, and the kind of deep listening that tracks what wants to emerge. Just as I track animal signs and bird language in the wild, I track the subtle signs your nervous system shows me about what it needs to heal.

This isn't about me having all the answers - it's about creating space for your own wisdom to unfold.

As a white, cis-gendered man, I've spent years examining my place in systems of power and privilege. This work has taught me that true healing must address not just individual wounds, but the collective patterns that create them.

Your healing journey happens within larger webs of relationship - to community, to land, to the ancestors, to justice.

My Life Now

I live in community with other parents and my daughter in Sebastopol, surrounded by the wild spaces that continue to teach me.

Several days a week, you'll find me hiking through redwood groves, tending my garden, or sitting in ritual with the land. This isn't separate from my healing work - it feeds everything I offer.

I have faith in our collective capacity to create a world where each person's gifts are celebrated and where healing serves the liberation of all life.

The world is calling us to grow and be together in beautiful new ways. Your multifaceted nature isn't something to fix - it's exactly what's needed in these times.
